From vexillology to urban planning, I'm constantly fascinated by design and its ability to shape the human experience.
Born in Kolkata, India, I moved to the US at the age of 5. After graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Engineering I started my professional journey with Infosys shortly after. It led me to Indiana for 2 years to Rhode Island and its fantastic UX hub and design training program. I quit Infosys in May of 2020 to step foot into the startup world with Sales Boomerang. There I helped to improve the usability of their main product, as well as help release features. This included sketching, prototyping and user testing. After that I joined Bristol Myers Squibb in NJ as a UX Researcher and Designer. Here I have cut my teeth in research and continue designing experiences.
In my spare time, I enjoy Sim City, cooking, travelling and Fleetwod Mac.
User Experience or UX, design is often paired with UI, or User Interface design. Perhaps it is because that is a very common way of experiencing UX. UX, however, is the usability of a product, be it digital or physical.
This is appended with the emotional and psychological side of product development. UX designers have to gauge the emotions of the user and their relationship to the product with a high level of empathy.
Currently I am working for BMS to improve User Experience in their various sectors and products as well as help drive Qualitative and Quantitative User Research.
